What is the financial wellness plan?
You can download the app here:
Google Play | Apple
This is one of our most commonly asked questions. The financial wellness plan is a way of living that we in the LRL community follow in order to live the life we believe God wants for us.
The financial wellness plan consists of three parts. First, the Tarumah (the mouth); next the tithe to the church (the house); finally another tithe to yourself.
The Tarumah is given directly to Dr. Reid and is meant for provision and consumption of our spiritual leader. The Tarumah is given before anything else EVERY time you receive any form of income. It is 2.5% of your income. So if you receive 2,000 biweekly, that is $50 every time you are paid. I give it as often as I receive the income. So for you, that may begin twice a month as you get paid biweekly, but may increase as you see more streams of income coming in. Let’s say you start a side business for cleaning and make $100 per house, you’d give $2.50 in tarumah each time. No amount is too small, it’s just about following the principle of giving 2.5% of all income. You can give this to Dr. Reid even if you are attending a local church!
The tithe is what many are familiar with in a traditional church setting. It goes to operating costs of the ministry and pays for things like payroll for contractors and events we may host for donors and members. It is 10% of your income. So if you receive 2,000 biweekly, that is $200 every time you are paid.
Like we said, the tithe may be something that you are familiar with, but the word actually states to bring your tithe to the storehouse in Malachi 3:10. That is why we practice sowing another 10% to YOURSELF- split into thirds. 3.3% to the Poor/ poor stranger widow. This could be to your parents, to a waitress God placed on your heart, to a local non profit, etc. Then 3.3% Spiritual vacation. Many people save this up to go to the reformation experience each year, but it is just putting money aside in a different account to save it for you to be able to rest. The final 3.3% is for retirement/stocks. It’s for you to save for your future.
The seed is an amount completely outside of the financial wellness plan and is meant to be a sacrificial gift from the heart. There is no specific amount that is required for the seed, but each week, Dr. Reid makes an ask that is suggested.
We are a holistic ministry. The Physical Wellness plan is a template of our commitment to physical wellness so that we are physically prepared to be used by God to complete our individual and corporate missions.
Note this community wellness plan should not be considered professional medical advice. Please consult your doctor and nutritionist for reaching and living in a mission-ready body.
We also highly encourage all members to do their research relating to how to help your body win and live a long life.
You do not have to follow this to be a part of the community, but many have committed to:
Praying three times a day
10k steps a day
Raise your vitamin intake, especially Vitamin D
Reduce your red meat consumption
Drink half of your body weight in oz of water daily
While there is not a set component of the wellness lifestyle that is devoted to mental health, we believe your mental health is of the utmost importance! We do have in-house resources to help you stay mentally fit and win any battles you may be experiencing. Contact your care pastor to receive your monthly care session.
When the scenario warrants, or if requested, we can also connect you with one of the licensed counselors or mental health specialists associated with the organization.

What is the Tarumah
The Tarumah sanctifies the tithe
The word Tarumah is the Hebrew word for “heave offering or contribution”. Portion to priest and portion to the house of God. The worthy supervising priest has to consume it. It is the way the high priest is sustained. It should be given to the priest before the tithe to the house. The priest blesses the tithe not the house. Ezekiel 44:30 - And the first of all the first-fruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
The Tithe used for the work of the ministry or Local Church
Numbers 18:5a, 6a, 7-7c - And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar. And behold I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel. Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift:
Tarumah
Who should the Tarumah go to?
Who is the supervising priest and prophet that you are sustaining?
Then Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will prosper me, because the Levite has become my priest.” judges 17:13
You should be given a priest at birth. If not, find your priest/prophet. This should be someone who brings you into a greater truth, awareness, and understanding. They should also walk worthy as a priest. They should have the life that you aspire to have and be who you aspire to be.
How much is the Tarumah?
The Tarumah is an offering that is a tithe of one’s income (2.5% if you’re a generous man). In the Rabbinical writings there was a tithe to priest, a temple tithe, and the tithe to your self that was done as well in certain years of harvest. The priest’s 2.5% and temple tithe of 10% comes to 12.5% of all your increases. The Tarumah tithe to priest is 2% if you’re a fair man. If you’re the generous man it is 2.5%. The priest that rule well should receive double honor which is 5%. This is how the high priest, supervising priest, and personal prophet is taken care of.
Promises to The Generous Man -
Psalm 112:5 - Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
Proverbs 11:25 says that “A generous man will prosper; that he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
The Tarumah from Rabbinical Writings
The rabbinical writings (The Talmud - Mishnah Terumot) that discuss the concept of Tarumah. The Talmud is a central text of Rabbinic Judaism, comprising the Mishnah and the Gemara, and it addresses a wide range of Jewish legal and ethical topics. The tractate of Terumot specifically deals with the laws and regulations surrounding the Terumah, which is a portion of agricultural produce that was given to the priests (kohanim) in ancient Israel. It also mentions all the separations done by the people in certain years and its percentages. All of this is the Jewish take on African practices.
The generous man —the man with a good eye —gives 1/40 of his income to the priest. In other words, he gives 2.5% to the priest, on top of the 10% that he gives as his tithe. If the income of this generous man is $10,000, then $250 is given to his priest as a heave offering and then $1,000 is given to the temple of his priest as his tithe. The fair man gives back 1/50 or 2% portion of his income outside of the temple tithe. Whoever gives 1/60 or below above the tithe is referred to as a stingy man or the miserly. In other words, someone who gives 1.6% or less of his income, outside of the tithe is considered tightfisted.
The Supervising Priest should live off the Tarumah of the people they serve. Anything additional given to the priest from the temple’s receivables is welcomed as well and can count as a double honor packaged with the Tarmac from the people.
The Tithe, The Heave Offering and other Offerings
The heave offering was a ritual act of lifting or waving a portion of certain offerings, such as grain, oil, or animal sacrifices, to consecrate them to God and acknowledge His ownership. It was a way of dedicating a portion of the offering to God.
The specific instructions for the heave offering are found in several passages of the Old Testament. For example, in Exodus 29:24-28, the heave offering is mentioned as part of the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests. The breast and right thigh of a sacrificed animal were to be waved or lifted up before the Lord and then given to the priests as their portion.
The purpose of the heave offering was to symbolize the act of presenting something to God in a way that acknowledged His authority and sanctified a portion for His service.
Numbers 15:21 - 21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto the Lord an heave offering in your generations. ….. …

About Prophecy Calls
If any of the numbers listed in the MBN Contacts , and you’re not able to answer, please allow it to go to voicemail.
Do not directly call back a prophecy call, even if they just called you. They are likely to leave you a voicemail or they are calling the next donor. We've listed their office numbers so that you can save it in your phone, so you do not think it is spam.
NOTE: A prophecy call will be either a phone call, text message, voicemail, voice note, or email.
How long should I expect to wait to hear a prophecy after I’ve sown a seed?
Our Virtual Prophets’ turnaround time is usually within one week of seed sown. If it has been longer than 8 days, feel free to reach out to donation@thembnnetwork.org with a screenshot of your donation, and we will problem-solve together.
My voicemail is full, can I receive a call back from the Prophet who called me?
Our prophets call hundreds to thousands of people per week. Due to this, we do not have the capacity to be able to call everyone back that may have forgotten to clear their voicemail. We suggest you clear your vm box (of unimportant messages), and expect to hear from our prophets when you sow or donate to MBN.
Do I get a prophecy for every seed sown?
We honor your donations seeds with a call prophecy call when you give at the Stakeholder, or Super Seed level. If you've sown more than once within the same service window of Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday, then you will receive one call for both or all seeds sown.
